Cannabis farm clearance, near Northampton Town Centre
Earlier this year, our team was instructed to clear a three-bedroom property close to Northampton town centre after the landlord was contacted by the police and informed that the house had been used as an illegal cannabis cultivation site.
Following a police raid, all cannabis plants and associated evidence were removed, and the property was released back to the landlord. With extensive clean-up and clearance works required before refurbishment could begin, Rubbish2Go was called in to restore the property to a manageable condition.
Fortunately, the occupants had covered much of the property’s floors and walls with protective plastic sheeting as part of their growing operation. While the property had been heavily modified, this helped minimise damage to some of the internal finishes, particularly the carpets.
Our team began by removing large quantities of fertiliser, plant pots, ducting, furniture, cabling, and electrical fittings that had been installed throughout the property. Once the bulk of the waste had been cleared, we carefully removed the plastic sheeting to preserve the underlying carpets wherever possible, helping to reduce the landlord’s refurbishment costs.

During the clearance, we removed:
- Approximately 5 tonnes of fertiliser
- 8 cubic yards of plastic sheeting and plant pots
- Bedroom and living room furniture
- Extensive cabling, electrical fittings, and plug sockets
- And, somewhat surprisingly, just one lonely toothbrush!
Thanks to our rapid response and efficient clearance service, the property was quickly prepared for refurbishment, allowing the landlord to begin restoration works and return the house to the rental market with minimal delay.
